Cornelis Albert van Assendelft

A Dutch painter and draughtsman from Middelburg who worked mostly in pastel and chalk. He painted landscapes, above all farmers at work on the land, and much of his work recalls Van Gogh. He lived and worked in Bemmel and, from 1919 to 1924, in Groesbeek.
