Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in, the provider gives us your name and email address. We support:

• Google — on web, iOS, and Android
• Apple — on web and iOS. If you choose Apple's private relay, we only ever receive the relay address
• Patreon — optional, and linked only to confirm whether you are a member so we can grant Pro access. We read your membership status, not your pledge history or payment details

Gameplay data. Puzzle completions, times and move counts, streaks, favorites, badges, and the galleries you build. Plus any reflections or comments you choose to post, which are visible to other players by design.

Purchase data. If you subscribe, the app stores which plan you hold and whether it is active. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play (Android), the Apple App Store (iOS), or Patreon — we never receive or store your card details.

Usage and device data. Analytics events describing how the app is used — screens viewed, puzzles started and completed, features tapped — together with your platform, app version, approximate region, language, and general device and OS information. These are tied to a pseudonymous analytics identifier, and to your account when you are signed in.

Crash diagnostics (iOS). The iOS app reports crashes, which includes device state and a stack trace at the moment of the crash.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the puzzle game
• Build and maintain your personal gallery, streaks, and favorites
• Display reflections and comments you have chosen to share
• Grant and verify Pro access, and restore purchases across devices
• Understand which features are used so we know what to build next
• Diagnose crashes and errors
• Communicate important updates about the service

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Advertising (iOS only)

The iOS app shows ads through Google AdMob to players without a Pro subscription. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier to measure and select ads. On iOS you are asked for permission before any tracking identifier is used, and you can change that choice at any time in the system settings; a consent prompt also governs personalized ads where local law requires one.

The Android app and the website contain no advertising. The Android app additionally removes the advertising-ID permission from its manifest entirely, so no advertising identifier is available to it. Subscribing to Pro removes ads on iOS.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with the service providers that run Art Keeper on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — database, file storage, authentication infrastructure, remote configuration, crash reporting, and abuse prevention
• Google Analytics — usage analytics for all three platforms, reported into a single property
• Google AdMob — serves ads in the iOS app only
• Google Play and the Apple App Store — process payments and validate subscriptions
• A subscription management provider — keeps track of whether your subscription is active on iOS and Android
• Patreon — only if you link a Patreon account, to verify membership
• Our hosting provider — runs the website and API

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.

5. Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled and delivered entirely on your own device. Art Keeper does not operate a push-notification service, does not collect a push token, and cannot send you messages remotely. Only your chosen reminder time is stored, and it stays on the device. You can turn reminders off in the app or in your system settings at any time.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption, in transit and at rest. We use Firebase's security infrastructure and follow best practices for data protection. Data may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States. We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide the service.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal data
• Correct data that is inaccurate
• Delete your account and the data associated with it
• Delete or edit reflections you have shared
• Export your gallery and completion history
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent

To exercise any of these, email support@artkeepergame.com from the address on your account and we will action it. Account deletion is handled by request rather than from inside the app; it removes your account, your gallery, and your completion history.

8. Children

Art Keeper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will give notice in the app or by email.
