D. Howard Hitchcock
D. Howard Hitchcock was born and raised in Hawaiʻi and later studied art in San Francisco and Paris. He exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1893 and helped found Honolulu’s Kilohana Art League the following year. His long career encompassed volcanic landscapes and other Hawaiian subjects.
