About this artwork
By Wassily Kandinsky
This work represents Kandinsky’s move toward a fully abstract visual language. Influenced by his theories at the Bauhaus and his belief that art should function like music, he used geometric forms such as circles, lines, and angles to create harmony and tension. Rather than depicting reality, the painting explores how color and form can directly affect emotion and spiritual perception.
