Art Deco
Art Deco first appeared in Paris just before the First World War and flourished internationally in the 1920s and early 1930s, shaping everything from skyscrapers and ocean liners to jewellery and radios. It took its name from the 1925 Paris exhibition of decorative and industrial arts, and grew out of the bold geometry of the Vienna Secession and Cubism.
